Practice present simple 1: habits and facts with interactive fill-in-the-blank exercises. This unit is part of the foundations level of our English grammar course, designed for PTE and IELTS test takers.

1
We use the Present Simple tense to talk about things that are generally true, like facts, or things that happen regularly, like daily habits and routines.
2
Forming the Present Simple is easy. For the subjects 'I', 'You', 'We', and 'They', you just use the base form of the verb. For example, 'I play tennis' or 'They walk to school'.
3
However, for singular subjects like 'He', 'She', or 'It', you must add an 's' or 'es' to the end of the verb. For example, 'She plays tennis' or 'He goes to school'.
