We use causative verbs when we arrange for someone else to do something for us. We don't do the action ourselves; we pay, ask, or cause a professional to do it.

The most common passive causative structure is: 'Have' or 'Get' + object + past participle. For example, 'I cut my hair' means I took scissors and did it myself. 'I had my hair cut' means a barber did it.

The verbs 'have' and 'get' can be used in any tense. 'I am getting my car washed' (continuous). 'I will have the house painted' (future). 'Get' is slightly more informal than 'have'.
