Practice passive voice 2: continuous and perfect with interactive fill-in-the-blank exercises. This unit is part of the mastery level of our English grammar course, designed for PTE and IELTS test takers.

1
The passive voice can be used in almost any tense. To form the Present Continuous passive (for actions happening right now to a subject), we use 'am/is/are' + 'being' + past participle. For example, 'The car is being repaired right now.'
2
For the Past Continuous passive (actions that were happening in the past), use 'was/were' + 'being' + past participle. For example, 'The dinner was being cooked when I arrived.'
3
To form the Present Perfect passive (for completed actions with relevance to now), use 'has/have' + 'been' + past participle. For example, 'My phone has been stolen!'
