Text-to-Speech Studio

The Text-to-Speech Studio lets you type or paste any English text and hear it spoken aloud with natural AI-generated voices. Use it to practice listening comprehension, improve your pronunciation, or simply listen to any text in natural-sounding speech. There are no limits on text length — paste an entire article, essay, or dialogue.

How to use: Type or paste your text into the area below. Press the play button to generate speech. Use the voice selector to try different speakers, adjust the speed slider to slow down or speed up the reading, and select audio quality (low, medium, or high). The regenerate button re-generates the audio with current settings.

Available voices: Multiple English speakers with different accents and styles are available. You can also enable random voice mode, which picks a different speaker each time you generate audio — great for exposing yourself to varied pronunciation.

Tips for best results: Use punctuation to control pacing — commas create short pauses, full stops create longer breaks. Shorter paragraphs generate faster than very long blocks of text. If the output sounds unnatural, try switching to a different voice or adjusting the speed. All processing happens locally in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.

Practical Uses for Your Test Preparation

IELTS Speaking practice: Paste a cue card topic and listen to a model response. Practise shadowing — repeat the sentences aloud to improve your fluency, intonation, and pronunciation. Adjust the speed to 0.75x for difficult passages.

PTE Read Aloud & Repeat Sentence: Type or paste PTE-style passages and listen to natural pronunciation. Focus on linking sounds, word stress, and sentence rhythm. Use random voice mode to adapt to different speaking styles.

Listening comprehension: Paste a transcript from a listening exercise you found difficult. Listen while reading along, then listen again without reading. Slow down challenging sections to catch every word.
