There are multiple ways to talk about the future in English. We use 'be going to' when we are talking about plans or intentions that we have already decided on before speaking.

To form it, use the present tense of 'to be' (am, is, are) + 'going to' + the base form of the verb. For example, 'I am going to study tonight' or 'She is going to buy a car'.

We also use 'going to' for predictions when we have clear physical evidence right now. For example, looking at dark clouds, we say: 'Look at those clouds! It is going to rain.'
